National Strategy Group for Watch Issues

The NSGWI was established in 2005 to advise the Home Office on Neighbourhood Watch matters. It meets quarterly and is chaired by the Home Office and includes representatives from the volunteer's network (The Neighbourhood and Home Watch Network, England and Wales), The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO),  Chief Fire Officers Association (CFOA), National Police Improvement Agency  (NPIA), NACRO, The Local Government Association (LGA), Neighbourhood Policing Programme, Catch 22, the Association of Police Authorities (APA) ,  Tennant’s Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) and the Community Development Forum (CDF).

 

Terms of Reference for NSGWI:

‘To advise the Home Office on the implementation of practical measures to promote the further growth and development of Neighbourhood Watch and the wider Watch movement'
